The T.E.P.E. Training Institute exists to help strengthen, support, and educate parents which will enable them to build upon individual strengths, identify and deal effectively with problems, and prevent others from occurring.

Goals

1. To provide focused, effective, and affordable training to parenting educators and human service providers throughout central New York, New England, and beyond.

2. To provide educational outreach to doctors, HMO’s, hospitals, and industry, where we seek to disseminate information to the general public about effective parenting.

3. To communicate through training opportunities and community involvement the principle that parenting education can improve outcomes for all families.

4. We strive to contribute to the ethical and professional standards that will improve the practice, discipline, and the accountability of parenting education across multiple stakeholder disciplines.

5. Through writing and publishing in various media we endeavor to further the mission of T.E.P.E. Training Institute and therein promote the effectiveness, public acceptance, and growth of the parenting education field.

6. T.E.P.E. Training Institute seeks to create a culture in which there are no restrictions to attending parenting education classes, where the public values and seeks out such education, and it is geared to parents with children of any age throughout the lifespan.
