As a major focus of the T.E.P.E. Training Institute, the Parenting EducationTraining Course meets one day per month for 15 months and consists of 120 contact hours. Class sizes are intentionally small (maximum enrollment twelve) and the content is focused on preparing the educator with a thorough knowledge of core content, foundation theories, and multi-modal teaching strategies that will greatly enhance their skill and value as a human service professional.

Some parenting educators prepare for their work in either a two or four year college. While such an education inarguably broadens a student, the T.E.P.E. Training Institute course is highly focused exclusive to psycho-education and parenting education content. For this reason the course can be completed in one-half to one-quarter the time and costs literally thousands less.

Judy Nordstrom, the Lead Educator at T.E.P.E. Training Institute, brings eleven years experience to the job. Her course features fourteen models, or teaching tools, which she created, all of which are specific to parenting education. These three-dimensional models with accompanying texts are grounded in her considerable knowledge of group process and psychological theory. She presents at numerous conferences nationwide, works both as an educator and a trainer and is currently in the process of publishing her Parenting Education Matrix. As Lead Educator she brings a unique level of clarity, vision, and passion to her work which serves to challenge and stimulate her students.
