The T.E.P.E. Training Institute exists to help strengthen, support, and educate parents which will enable them to build upon individual strengths, identify and deal effectively with problems, and prevent others from occurring.

T.E.P.E. Training Institute began in 2000 as a vehicle for promoting parenting education in a wide variety of settings for parents with children of all ages.  It has evolved into a complete training program geared toward promoting continual growth and professional development among parenting educators and supporting agencies.  Today T.E.P.E. offers a complete range of psycho-educational curricula, workshops and a core training.

An estimated 200,000 workers are involved in parenting education nationwide.  It is an enormous field contained within education, medicine, human services, and mental health. The task of training these employees is on-going and changes in step with shifts in social mores and demographics.  T.E.P.E. Training Institute provides expert training focused on bridging these fields and keeping your employees current and maximally effective.
Until now there has been no one set path for training to become a parenting educator.  Two or four year college programs provide a broad-based education, which typically does not focus on parenting education. On-the-job training does not adequately prepare staff for the breadth and complexity of the work required.  T.E.P.E.  Training Institute has changed that.  Exclusive to students at T.E.P.E are teaching methods, background in theory, and psycho-educational models that have demonstrated effectiveness throughout numerous applications and settings.
Ten years of preparation went into developing The Parenting Education Matrix™.  It is a tool, which allows parenting educators to assess client needs, create or select a fitting curriculum to meet those needs, and evaluate group or individual progress at the close.  It can be used with parents and children of any age and incorporates the essence of developmental theory, establishes a recommended core knowledge content, and can be used in conjunction with any curriculum.

For two decades we have used parenting education as remediation when families get in trouble.  Yet, we fail to adequately train workers to deal with entrenched behaviors in complex environments.  Today’s world is puzzling with complex, ever-changing mores which cause stress and uncertainty.  Take a look to see WHO can benefit from parenting education and what we can do to make the puzzle pieces fit.
